"2 Truths and a Lie" Classify & Measure Angles Math Error Analysis Activity

This geometry error analysis activity will make your students really think about the classification and measurement of angles. Students identify incorrect statements about acute, obtuse, right and straight angles, and about adjacent angles with given degree measures. Students are then asked to fix each error.

On each card there is an angle diagram and 3 statements about the angles. Students need to figure out which of the 3 statements is false (the "lie"), then correct the false statement on their answer sheet. This activity gives students practice with identifying angle pairs and recognizing errors when they occur.
