"2 Truths and a Lie" Key Features of Quadratic Graphs Error Analysis Activity

"2 Truths and a Lie" Key Features of Quadratic Graphs Error Analysis Activity

This algebra error analysis algebra activity will make your students really think about the key features of quadratic graphs. Students identify incorrect statements about zeros, vertex, axis of symmetry and y-intercept when presented with quadratic graphs. Students are then asked to fix each error on their answer sheet. All functions are factorable.

On each card there is a quadratic graph and 3 statements about its zeros, axis of symmetry, vertex and/or y-intercept. Students need to figure out which of the 3 statements is false (the "lie"), then correct the false statement on their answer sheet.

This algebra activity gives students practice with finding the key features of quadratics, as well as recognizing errors when they occur.

There are 10 cards, a student answer sheet and an answer key included.
