Earth Day Math Word Problems Spring Math Pennant Activity

Students solve word problems while learning facts about our planet Earth! On each math pennant is a fact about Earth and a math word problem to go along with it, like "How long would it take a Monarch butterfly to fly 2,500 miles?" or "How many times faster than Earth is the fastest jet"?

Each pennant has a picture to color that relates to the fact and word problem. All word problems can be solved with addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. Once a pennant is complete, it can be colored and then hung along a string in your classroom to celebrate Earth Day. 

The pennants inside are 2 sizes: one set is a full-page and the other set is 1/2-page size. You can choose which size you'd like to print. A digital version in Google Forms is also included.
