Adding and Subtracting Integers Digital Math Escape Room
An engaging math escape room game for adding and subtracting integers. Students must unlock 5 locks through simplifying 20 integer addition and subtraction expressions. Each expression involves combining 3 integers. Questions are grouped 4 per puzzle, resulting in five 4-letter codes that will unlock all 5 locks.
This is so cool! Trying to get out of the "escape room" was a blast! I had my students work in teams and they loved it. They didn't even feel like they were practicing adding and subtracting integers, lol. — Eboni T.
The entire activity is housed in one GOOGLE Form. There are no links to outside websites. The 4-letter codes are set with answer validation so that students cannot move to the next puzzle until they enter the correct code. Includes answer key.
To add the digital escape room to your Google Drive: please open the PDF and click the button on page 3.
A printable PDF version has also been added to the file. Students can work in groups, each group starting at a different puzzle. Once done, students check the NEXT STEP box for which puzzle to visit next.

Integers in general tend to give students a problem. They are overwhelmed with everything and they tend to confuse these rules. This escape room was so much fun for them as they forgot that they were actually practicing math.
I used this as a review station for 7th grade and it is a great way to bring technology into the classroom.
This was a great resource! My students loved using it!
