“How to be a Math Person” Bulletin Board Kit
On the first day of school, this math bulletin board reminds students that we are all math people. The bulletin board reads:
How to be a
MATH PERSON
1: Do math
2: Be a person
The bulletin board letters are sized to fit a 4-foot by 4-foot bulletin board. The kit prints on regular 8.5" x 11" computer paper in black ink only. You can see the spacing of the bulletin board letters in the preview image (this image is included in the download to help with setup).

I have this up in my classroom and my students love to quote it. They find it funny and it motivates them to try on their assignments.
This is a great way to break down the “I can’t do math” barrier! Loved it and so do my students!
I used the hints to enlarge this to 4x size and printed it at home. I mounted it on a bright piece of posterboard that peeks out around the edges. I love the uncluttered style. It isn't overstimulating for my students and it is funny!!
