Place Value Math Pennant Activity | Into the Hundred Millions | No Decimals

Place Value Math Pennant Activity | Into the Hundred Millions | No Decimals

Students translate between different number forms (standard, written and expanded) in this place value activity that doubles as classroom décor. Numbers go into the hundred millions.

Questions include:

  • Determine the placement of a digit in a number
  • Standard form to written form
  • Written form to standard form
  • Standard form to expanded form

Included inside: 30 place value pennants + 3 open-ended pennants, an answer sheet and an answer key.

The open-ended pennants work great for warm ups or exit tickets.

Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to find place value!"

There are plenty of places on each pennant for students to color and have fun. Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.

This escape room is also on TPT, if you prefer shopping there.
