Pythagorean Theorem Math Pennant
Pythagorean Theorem Math Pennant
Students review the Pythagorean Theorem and get a little creative in this math pennant activity that doubles as classroom décor.
Students must find:
- missing side lengths of right triangles
- areas or right triangles
- perimeters of right triangles
Students practice using the Pythagorean Theorem while also using their logic to figure out area and perimeter. Each pennant includes Greek line art for students to color.
Included are 20 pennants, an answer sheet (if you would like students to also record their answers for credit) and an answer key.
Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom décor.
This math pennant is also available on TPT, if you prefer shopping there.
